| Today's picture is an experiment in polarization. The light from my laptop's LCD screen is polarized. Passing the polarized light through a piece of plastic- in this case, a privacy screen for my laptop that bends the light and shifts the polarization, results in a wash of colors when shot through yet another polarized filter- this one on my camera. Interesting effect. The screen is dimmed from the polarizer angle. The plastic tabs on the edges that hold the privacy screen, interestingly, seem to bend the polarized light 90 degrees, so the effect through them is opposite (hence they are bright). I've held the privacy screen at an angle for dramatic effect. Things I would do differently: Nothing- just an experiment Mods: Cropped | may05 | |||||||||||
