| Today, I've improved the photo a bit by using a better piece of plastic. This time it's a clear lid to a plastic display/specimen box. The bit at the center is the manufacturing attach point- a dimple in the center, and a good source of stress lines for the polarizers to accentuate. The black ring is from both polarizers- one was smaller than the other- they are perfectly centered. Things I would do differently: Clean the optics better first. Mods: None. | jul17 | |||||||||||
