| When the day is over and you haven't had a chance to grab that picture during daylight hours- make something up! A bottle full of water and a bit of milk combined with a red laser pointer did the trick, with a black background in a dark room. This is not exactly an original idea- hmluker in my Forum (and on Flickr) did something similar, using dry ice and wine glasses (for a more interesting effect than here), but hey- I needed a picture and wanted to experiment. For the effect, you really only need just enough milk to cloud the water. Too much, and the laser doesn't diffuse. Somehow- offsetting it to the side made it look more appealing, even though it's surrounded by dark space. Things I would do differently: Experiment more, but not really sure. Focus could be better- hard to do on a white bottle against a black background. Mods: Cropped. | feb27 | |||||||||||
